Tibet Film Days ’26 | Nijmegen

The 3rd Tibet Film Days (TFD) are back! Presented by International Campaign for Tibet Europe, this year featuring the inspiring movie Tibet in Song.

TIBET IN SONG celebrates the richness of traditional Tibetan folk music while confronting the painful reality of five decades of cultural repression under Chinese rule. Directed by Ngawang Choephel, himself a former Tibetan political prisoner, the film blends beauty and suffering, cruelty and resilience to tell a deeply human story. Through Ngawang Choephel’s unique perspective, Tibet is revealed in a way never before captured on screen. The film features original compositions by Ngawang Choephel alongside a powerful collection of traditional folk songs performed by Tibetan singers.
