About ICT Europe
ICT Europe is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting human rights and democratic freedoms for the Tibetan people. Our work focuses on protecting Tibetan culture and identity, advocating for Tibetans imprisoned for their beliefs, and engaging with governments and institutions to support a peaceful, political resolution in Tibet. Our advocacy is entirely non-violent, inspired by the principles of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and aims to build sustained international support for Tibet.
The Role of ICT Europe Board Members
Fiduciary & Financial Oversight
Board members ensure that ICT Europe’s finances are sound, transparent, and aligned with its charitable mission. This includes approving budgets, monitoring reports, and safeguarding the organization’s financial stability.
Strategy & Direction
Board members contribute to defining ICT’s strategic goals and long-term vision, ensuring the organization remains mission-driven and sustainable.
Governance & Accountability
Members uphold the highest standards of integrity and transparency, ensuring ICT complies with all Dutch laws and ANBI (Public Benefit Organization) requirements.
Oversight & Support
The board advises and oversees the Executive Director and staff, providing guidance on management, risk, and key organizational decisions.
Representation & Advocacy
Board members serve as ambassadors for ICT Europe — supporting fundraising initiatives, cultivating partnerships, and representing the organization in external forums.
Current Board and Structure
The ICT Europe Board currently includes six members. The board committee which meets regularly to prepare full board sessions and advise the Executive Director on urgent matters, consists of:

- Prof. Dr. Jan Andersson
Commitment
- Board Meetings: 3–4 times per year (in person or online)
- Next meeting: 2026
