In July, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama will turn 90 years old, and 2025 has been officially designated by Sikyong Penpa Tsering as \u201cThe Year of Compassion.\u201d This is not only an honor to the Dalai Lama\u2019s lifelong message of peace and wisdom but also calls for renewed global attention to Tibet\u2019s ongoing struggle for cultural preservation, human rights, and self-determination. As we reflect on this momentous occasion, we ask: What does the future hold for Tibet? How can Tibetan identity thrive in a rapidly changing world?
