The European Union should suspend its upcoming human rights dialogue with the Chinese government, given the magnitude of China’s rights crisis, including its potential responsibility for crimes against humanity in the Xinjiang region, 10 human rights groups including ICT said today.

On the occasion of the Czech Republic Presidency of the Council of the European Union, which starts on 1 July , the International Campaign for Tibet and Czechs Support Tibet have called on the Czech government to promote a new EU China policy with human rights at its center.
The European Union has highlighted the further worsening of the overall human rights situation in China and the continuing repressive policies of the Chinese government in Tibet.
